They both learned the roofing trade from their fathers when they were young.

“I roofed with my brother in high school to make extra money during the summer,” Phillips said.

While Phillips admitted that the work was “too difficult” for him at the time, roofing was a “trade [he] learned early on and became really knowledgeable about.”
